Nintendo has been a bit quiet recently regarding their upcoming titles. Their last big title for the Nintendo Switch involved the return of the Pikmin, but that was a month ago. There wasn’t anything significant released in August, and September is going to be the same way. However, the arrival of October will start a series of big 1st party releases. The first game of that set will be Super Mario Bros Wonder. There’s still plenty about that title we don’t know, and that has led to speculation via a website sighting that co-op play will be coming.
The website in question was the game’s official site. In it, the site says that Super Mario Bros Wonder will have a form of online play and that “Details of online play will be announced at a later date.”

What a “later date” means is something to discuss. They may be referring to the next trailer for the game, or it could be a reference to the Nintendo Direct that numerous fans feel is coming next month due to experience.
Regardless, if the title does have online play, what kind would it have? As stated earlier, many think it will be a form of co-op play. Numerous titles featuring Mario and his friends have had co-op play. Many of the more recent titles, both in 2D and 3D forms, have had co-op of up to four players, and given the original trailer for the game, that’s a likely possibility here too.
