Larian Studios has gone on record to say the PS5 version of Baldur's Gate 3 will feature complete parity with the current PC edition when it launches early next month, and the RPG's first patch shares a glimpse at the updates there is to look forward to. Available to scroll through on the official Baldur's Gate 3 website, a frankly absurd list of over 1,000 bug fixes and changes can be viewed, and they'll all be there in the PS5 version too on 6th September 2023.
As a quick summary, the developer said: «We've eliminated issues like NPCs who sometimes spot you when they really shouldn't be able to, floating items like mugs and newspapers that should abide the laws of gravity, and the conclusion to Shadowheart's romance scene not triggering for some players, among others.»
The best part is PS5 owners should have another update baked into their launch experience as Larian Studios teases PC players «won’t be waiting long for Patch 2, which is right around the corner». This one should focus on «significant performance improvements». Alongside Larian Studios' first official patch for Baldur's Gate 3, the game has also benefited from four hotfixes — again, these will be part of the PS5 version upon release.
