Rocksteady has released a major update for the third-person action shooter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that resolves an exploit tied to experience points that some players had used and introduces various gameplay tweaks. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has garnered significant attention for allowing players to take control of four infamous villains from the DC universe, namely Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark in a unique single-player and cooperative multiplayer experience.
After the game was released on February 2, 2024, some players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League had discovered an exploit allowing rapid XP gain through repetitive vehicle kills during Gizmo's Support Squad missions. This exploit disrupted the intended game progression. Responding to community feedback regarding these issues, the game developers have released an update.
The latest patch for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, released on February 14, 2024, primarily targets the XP exploit by altering the mechanics of vehicle kills during Gizmo’s Support Squad missions, which no longer grant XP. The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League update also resolves other notable bugs: an error causing burning damage to incorrectly scale with multiple damage buffs and a bug enabling Toyman to stack duplicate gear augments. The patch also includes some specific tuning to high level enemies to keep challenges intact after fixing the scaling exploits.
Alongside XP fixes, the update adjusts the damage reduction of some abilities, like reducing Heat Wave’s Molten Skin and The Turtle’s Shell from 100% to 90% damage reduction. Additionally, new leaderboards will be introduced given the adjustments to burning damage scaling and subsequent impacts on mastery progression. These changes acknowledge the shifting dynamics resulting from exploit fixes.
