Players now have an official release date for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s first DLC season, which will add an alternate timeline version of the infamous Joker to the game’s roster of playable characters. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League features a new incarnation of The Joker to emerge from the Multiverse and assist in the battle to retake Metropolis from Brainiac and his army of mind-controlled minions.
The version of The Joker that players will soon take control of in Suicide Squad was deliberately designed to be different from the one who terrorized Gotham in the Batman: Arkham series in many ways. For starters, this new Joker was once a member of Task Force X on his Earth, and is much more willing to join forces with Suicide Squad’s band of rogues to prevent another world from falling to Brainiac. He also manages to be even more flamboyant than the prime Joker, with past gameplay footage showing him gliding across the rooftops of Metropolis on a rocket-propelled umbrella.
Now fans have an official release date forSuicide Squad's playable version of The Joker, as revealed in a new promotional image on Twitter. This image features an image of Suicide Squad’s DLC Joker grinning ominously through a cloud of green Joker Gas, with text revealing that Season 1 will go live on March 28.
Joker is only the first of the new characters Rocksteady is planning to add to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League post-launch, and there has already been plenty of rumor and speculation about which DC supervillains could join him in the future. Past leaks have suggested that returning Arkhamverse enemies like Deathstroke and Killer Croc could visit Metropolis, along with a female, Elseworlds version of Mr. Freeze and appearances from Lawless and Katana.
