With the regained interest in completing Primal Storms due to the new A World Awoken meta-achievement, many players are finding themselves frustrated with a key component of this achievement, which requires them to complete Primal Storms in different Dragon Isles zones.
The achievement in question is Storm Chaser, which is part of Into the Storm, which is part of Across the Isles, which is part of A World Awoken. This achievement, as we highlighted earlier this week, requires you to complete sixteen different Primal Storms, four different types of storms in the four original Dragonflight zones.
In itself, that's an okay task. However, two issues are currently making this achievement exceedingly harder than when Dragonflight launched—the number of storms and their distribution.
When Dragonflight launched, storms were more abundant, but, probably due to the increased number of activities added throughout patches, they were reduced. At launch there were always two storms happening, but, at some point, this number was reduced to one. You can see a screenshot of Patch 10.0, with two Storms available.
While the nerf to the number of active storms is impactful, the biggest problems of Primal Storms right now is their distribution. It is unsure why, but currently, it is way more likely that a Storm will spawn on The Waking Shores or Azure Span.
Looking at data collected by the Lord of the Reins discord server for the past 6 days we had the following distribution on EU servers:
For US servers, the situation is similar, but with more Waking Shores storms spawning.
The results of this can be seen in many places, as players are actively complaining on official forums, reddit, and our comment section on our last post. Hopefully Blizzard is able to fix those issues soon and either balance the number of Storms per zone or
