A newly announced Stardew Valley mod seeks to introduce a variety of Baldur's Gate 3-inspired content to the game. The ambitious project could hence add to the ever-growing list of community-created Stardew Valley add-ons, assuming it manages to realize its avid aspirations.
The hit farming sim developed by Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone has long enjoyed a lot of attention from the modding community. That's in part because Barone is a big proponent of modding, who has actively encouraged community content by consistently making Stardew Valley more modder-friendly since its initial release. Another head-turning project has now emerged from that very same community in the form of Baldur's Village. Like its name implies, the mod seeks to extend Stardew Valley with the addition of an entirely new hamlet location inspired by Larian's critically acclaimed RPG. Several Baldur's Gate 3 characters are also planned to be part of the package, with its cast being confirmed to include Astarion, Shadowheart, Halsin, and Gale.

The current plan is to treat Astarion to a «unique romance plot,» with one of the mod's developers saying as much in a recent tweet. The team is also considering the idea of making more characters dateable but hasn't yet committed to it, as per the same source. So far, the developers have managed to complete the art of the mod's map, in addition to modeling four new building styles. Astarion, Gale, and Shadowheart's artwork has also been completed.
The full scope of the Baldur's Village character roster remains unclear. The project itself is currently being developed by only three people, so it might take a while to see the light of day. Community efforts of this sort do have a tendency to fizzle out
