One of 's most intriguing mechanics is New Game Plus, where players unlock new sets of Starborn armor on each new playthrough after beating the game. The Starborn are cosmic entities who are later revealed to be humans who have passed through the Unity. The Unity grants all who pass through it access to the multiverse, and anyone who enters it leaves behind their original universe forever.
While entering the Unity and becoming Starborn is optional for those who have unfinished business in their universe, it's the only way to progress the game to New Game Plus. Nine playthroughs could take hundreds of hours, even if the player was rushing through the main story to reach New Game Plus. There is no multiplayer or PvP in, but if there were, players with the Avitus Starborn armor would be formidable foes.
The Astra armor is the first Starborn suit that becomes available after walking into the Unity and beginning New Game Plus. It boasts impressive stats and a sleek style unlike any other armors in the game. It doesn't closely resemble either the Hunter or the Emissary's armor, but it has the look of a new Starborn eager to explore the multiverse for the first time.
