Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Games Showcase will be returning on June 9, and given the many first-party titles the company has in the pipeline for 2024, it seems safe to assume that it’s going to be a packed show. In fact, according to The Verge, multiple upcoming first-party games are going to get official release date announcements.
This year’s Call of Duty game will allegedly be one of them. Allegedly titled Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War and featuring a fully open world campaign, the game will launch in October, it’s claimed. Additionally, The Verge claims the showcase will also feature a showing for Starfield’s upcoming expansion, ShatteredSpace, which will launch in September. Director Todd Howard recently confirmed the expansion would launch this Fall.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which was officially announced last year, will also allegedly receive an update for the showcase, along with a November launch date. The report claims launch dates will also be announced for Avowed and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Read more on that through here.
Meanwhile, if previous reports are to be believed, the next Gears of War game will also be announced at the Xbox Games Showcase.
