In order to beat Sierra in during April 2024, you must know her lineup of Pokémon and choose the best counters to defeat her creatures without getting eliminated first. Sierra is one of the three Team Go Rocket Leaders who answer to Giovanni. They are much stronger than regular Grunts, as they bring in powerful Pokémon that often pose a challenge in battle. Like all members of the villainous organization, Sierra’s lineup changes occasionally and, with the arrival of April, the creatures she uses are different.
From late January to late March, those who challenged and defeated her got a chance to catch a Shadow Tentacool, as that was her first Pokémon. That first pick of hers has changed, offering a new Shadow Pokémon in for players to catch. The rest of her lineup for April 2024, however, remains untouched, so if you beat Sierra in during March 2024, most of your strategy remains the same. The main alteration to your own lineup will be for the first and easiest Pokémon to defeat.
Of course, with the random factor applied to her second and third picks, you may need a refresher on which Pokémon Sierra is using. Her first pick is now a Trapinch, substituting her Tentacool. Her second pick continues to be a Sableye, a Milotic, or a Honchcrow. The third and final slot is split between Alakazam, Victreebell, and Houndoom. Taking this into consideration, your own lineup needs to match the weaknesses of her possible choices in, so that you beat Sierra before she defeats you.
The table below lists all of her possible Pokémon, their Types, weaknesses, and a few recommended counters:
