After months of controversy and discourse, the Stellar Blade reviews are finally in. As of writing, it has an aggregate score of 85 on OpenCritic, earning it the 'Mighty' badge. Critics praise its "fast-paced combat", "beautiful" visuals, and "captivating story", and some even argue that it's one of the best PS5 exclusives on the market.

Game Rant scored Stellar Blade 4.5 stars, calling it a "breezier, sci-fi Sekiro" and even claiming that it's one of the best PS5 exclusives to date. Screen Rant likewise scored it 4.5 stars, writing that it's an "action-packed marvel and wonderful addition to PlayStation's exclusive gaming family."
Destructoid scored the game an eight out of ten, arguing that the few flaws are "nothing too detrimental to ruin the overall experience", and that the good could carry it to become a "legendary landmark experience" at the peak of the genre.
