MutliVersus appears to be scrapping Support roles for its big relaunch next week, altering characters such as Steven Universe, Velma, and Gizmo and slotting them into different roles.
MultiVersus' big launch is only a handful of days away now, launching on May 27 next week. Once it's live, we'll be able to dive in and see all the new sparkly changes for ourselves, such as new characters, gameplay mechanics, and that all-important rollback. Velma has pretty much always been a powerhouse of a character anyway, and not that helpful in terms of actual support, while Steven being shield-focused does make him an ideal tank.
Gizmo and Reindog are arguably the only two characters you could properly classify as Support, but they do have their own tools to dish out the damage too, and you can't really have an entire role made up of two characters when the rest have over half a
