Sonic Frontiers players are having so much difficulty with the Master Trials rematches against Giganto and other bosses that they're spamming the pause button and stomp moves to get through them.
In case you haven't seen all of us Sonic fans having a meltdown on Twitter - Sonic Frontiers' Final Horizon update is brutally difficult. It seems that Kishimoto heard all of us laughing at how easy the base game was and decided to punish us for it because, whether it's climbing the Trial Towers or putting up with Knuckles' control scheme, Frontiers' third update has got hands. In fact, the Final Horizon has got such hands that players are being forced to cheat the game a little bit in order to get through.

The main part of the update that is giving most Sonic fans a tough time is the final Master King trial, which tasks Sonic with rematching most of the big bosses in the game. By that point, you've already beaten each of the bosses at least once, so a rematch sounds easy enough, right? Well, these versions of the boss fights put Sonic at level one, making him deal less damage than usual, and introduce a new perfect parry system that means that Sonic can no longer just hold down the parry button and win every time.
Making Sonic so weak means that it's a lot harder to actually beat bosses with Super Sonic's time limit, especially when parrying all of their attacks now has to be timed perfectly. Thankfully, Sonic fans have come up with a pretty clever way of getting past these restrictions, as some of them have taken to spamming the pause button and stomping to get through these challenges.
