For The King II has a release date and that date is November 2nd, Curve Games and Iron Oak Games have confirmed. It is a sequel to For The King and retains a lot of the table top and turn based elements of the original game. The land of Fahruhl has come under the control of a tyrannical queen, and players will lead characters in a rebellion to overthrow the Queen’s rule, venturing across the world and dealing with various enemy encounters as well as exploration.
“As a small studio of thirteen, we’re so proud of the work we’ve put into For The King II. We’ve worked hard developing new gameplay innovations, features and systems that have built on the successful For The King experience to make it even more enjoyable. We can’t wait for players and friends to party up and start their adventure on November 2nd!” said Sterling Anderson, Studio Director of Iron Oak Games.
The original For The King released in 2019, and in our review I wrote, “For The King is a fun and stylish RPG, but prepare yourself for classic roguelite frustrations of dying and starting the campaign again, just to get a little bit further each time. If you enjoy that kind of challenge and like board games then For The King is well worth checking out.”
For The King II is available for pre-purchase at a price of $24.99/£19.99/€24.99, and will be released on PC via Steam.
