Sims 4 players have been confronted by a glitch causing their Sims characters to age at accelerated speeds, even with the Long Lifespan gameplay option enabled. Some players are very frustrated with the new glitch, as it's negatively affecting the custom families and storylines Sims fans are able to create easily within the social simulation title. While Maxis' and EA's nearly decade-old title is still going strong and getting frequent updates, some updates have been known to cause glitches, sometimes turning Sims into nightmare fuel.
The Sims 4 community continuously creates and shares their own individual Sims characters, builds, and more just as they did with previous titles in the franchise. There are seemingly endless possibilities in the Sims, with recent updates adding werewolves to the list of Occult Sims as well as game packs that include pets and event-specific items. However, new game packs and updates aren't always viewed in a positive light among the community, and Sims fans are often very vocal about their grievances.

Lately, Sims 4 players are reporting an aging glitch that causes Sims to age rapidly after entering Create-A-Sim, according to Twinfinite. The glitch is making children turn into young adults, adults turn into elders, and elders die as soon as they become elderly. It's also apparently causing Sims to cry over their missed birthdays and mods containing custom content to be corrupted. Fans quickly reached out to Sims developers on Twitter, where quality designer SimGuruNick responded quickly to let fans know that developers were investigating the issue.
We're investigating this, thanks much for letting me know!
