Capcom is currently putting a lot of attention on Street Fighter 6, hyping it as one of the company's biggest 2023 releases. This sixth mainline entry is looking to be a huge step-up from the previous game, with several new features and characters. This includes the implementation Street Fighter 6's World Tour single player campaign along with the addition of heavily requested features such as rollback netcode and crossplay. Another big feature that will be introduced to the frnachise for the first time is the usage of real time commentary.
Street Fighter 6's real time commentary track was announced the same day as its full reveal during Sony's June State of Play presentation. Capcom is working with well-known faces from the Fighting Game Community to incorporate their voices directly into the game. As a match starts and continues throughout, commentators will be narrating what is happening on-screen like if it was a tournament match. Not only will it make it feel like a hype match, it will also provide explanations on the game's mechanics for new players to learn from. More of this feature was shown off in a new trailer, along with announcing some more recognizable members of the FGC as commentators.

The new trailer reveals that both Steve Scott, best known as «Tasty Steve,» and James Chen will be in the game as commentators. These two are prominent members of the tournament scene who are typically paired together during competitive Street Fighter tournaments like at EVO. This trailer shows off how the commentary will respond to certain techniques on-screen, such as a Guile player being able to his Flash Kick at the most opportune moment, demonstrating it as an «anti-air»
