Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse has revealed a mysterious new story trailer for its next game, Honkai: Star Rail, as part of Gamescom 2022's Opening Night Live show.
The trailer shows us a main character seemingly having a nightmare about his past, in which a voice tells him "Of five people, three must pay a price." We get glimpses at the inside of the titular spacefaring train, just before it makes a hyperspace jump. It doesn't reveal much more about the game, but give sus another look at HoYoverse's signature living anime style in a new setting.
We last saw Honkai: Star Rail at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest, which showcased a different story trailer that gave us a better look at the characters and plot of the game. There's still a lot of mystery surrounding the full game, but we do know that it's an RPG with tactical turn-based combat. While part of the Honkai series, it has a brand new cast, with characters from the previous three games appearing as alternate versions. So far there have been two closed beta tests.
