Gamescom 2022 is finally underway, and things got off to a fast start with Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022, hosted by Geoff Keighley. While big-name titles such as Sonic Frontiers and The Callisto Protocol received new trailers during the show, several other exciting announcements were made by smaller developers. In particular, fans of Moving Out learned that a sequel, Moving Out 2, is on the way.
Developed by Devm Games and SMG Studio and published by Team17, the original Moving Out was released in April 2020 and gave fans a fun new opportunity to play couch co-op, something not seen in a lot of video games these days. The premise of the game revolves around players moving all sorts of objects to new locations while trying not to have everything fall to pieces, both figuratively and quite literally. Several years after the original release of the physics-based moving simulator, the developers have revealed that a sequel to Moving Out is now in development.
Two New Game Pass Games Confirmed at Gamescom
During the Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022 show, an announcement trailer for Moving Out 2 was revealed. Over the course of the roughly one-minute trailer, fans were given a good look at the game that appeared to keep most of the charm of the original while providing some new additions. Among the details revealed, it was learned that Moving Out 2 would be taking Smooth Moves’ Furniture Arrangement and Relocation Technicians (F.A.R.Ts) to different locations this time. According to the publisher, Moving Out 2 will feature more than 50 new levels that will test players' skills as movers.
