Speaking to, the Secret Invasion director and executive producer Ali Selim explained that the opening sequence was designed by Method Studios using artificial intelligence. Selim appeared enthusiastic about the process, saying how the use of A.I. generation gels with “the shape-shifting, Skrull world identity.”
At the time of writing, however, the intro sequence is attracting a lot of negative attention on social media. One of the most notable criticisms comes from Jeff Simpson, who worked on Secret Invasion’s character design. He tweeted that he was “devastated.”
