In episode 3 of Secret Invasion, Gravik reveals his plans to turn his Skrull army into a Super Skrull army by using a machine. It’s also revealed that he has already tested the equipment on himself, with him healing his hand after being stabbed by Talos. Gravik hopes that by arming himself with superpowers, he can combat “the heroes of Earth.”
Gravik appears to heal using the Extremis Virus, which was primarily featured in Iron Man 3, but also showed up in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Perhaps Skrull bodies can handle the virus better than human bodies, where instabilities would cause humans to explode.
Super Skrulls in the TV show can make use of superpowered D.N.A., leaching powers from heroes like Groot and villains like Cull Obsidian, but their comic book counterparts display even more abilities. These include:
Combine these powers with the abilities displayed in the TV show and you get a wide-range of possibilities for each Super Skrull. Clearly, Gravik has armed himself with regenerative healing and Groot’s powers, but what else can he do? We should find out during the final three episodes.
