There are a lot of Metroidvanias on the market, but few blend genres all that much. Rusted Moss aims to change that a bit by offering twin-stick shooting controls for its core gameplay. PLAYISM aims to blend bullet hell with speedrunner-influenced action, and beyond twin-stick shooting, players also have a snappy grappling hook to use.
The dev team came together during a game jam and wound up loving what they made with their demo, and created a larger-scale offering. The game features fast action, but also extensive accessibility options to allow for more relaxed play. It’s available now on Steam for $17.99 with a 10% launch discount. You can get it with the OST and an artbook for $34.17 – a 15% savings over the regular price of $39.97 for that particular bundle. You can also get the DLC pieces for $9.99 apiece if you want.
