An Armored Core VI: Fires of the Rubicon blowout could be imminent, if a new report from Insider Gaming is to be believed. The reliable publication claims that FromSoftware's mech-crunching RPG could be targeting an August 2023 release, which is probably a lot closer than many onlookers may have anticipated.
When the Japanese developer slapped a vague '2023' on Armoured Core VI back when it was revealed at The Game Awards last year, there was a lot of scepticism. After all, From has only just launched Elden Ring in February of 2022. However, recent rumours have painted this project as being a lot further along the production line than people think — and this latest report solidifies those claims.
Just last week, key art for Armored Core VI was uncovered along with an age rating in Korea. Typically, age ratings point towards an upcoming announcement of some kind.

If Armored Core VI really is looking at an August launch — or, more specifically, a 25th August launch according to the report — then the game's marketing campaign is surely about to kick into gear. With Summer Game Fest coming up in June, we wouldn't be at all surprised to see Geoff Keighley and his team go hard on this one.
