Following on from last night's tease, reliable PS Plus leaker Billbil-Kun has tweeted out what they believe to be accurate details concerning Mortal Kombat 12. According to them, it will in fact be called Mortal Kombat 1, which backs up some speculation spread by the short video released overnight teasing a possible series reboot. They say an official reveal «should» be close, with a potential PlayStation Showcase later this month or Summer Game Fest in June being the most likely hosts.
The leaker says Mortal Kombat 1 will come in three versions: standard, premium, and a physical-only Kollector's Edition. Details of what they'll contain weren't shared, but you can probably assume there'll be bonus content and character passes bundled in with the more expensive versions. It's releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch (possibly via the cloud) for $69.99 according to Billbil-Kun, with no PS4 version planned.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
So… the leak is what the teaser told us and that there will be 3 standard versions? Not exactly sure what was «leaked» here. Console versions? This «leak» is more an educated guess than a leak, but ok.
@Nem And the Mortal Kombat 1 name is new.
