Publisher NIS America and developer FuRyu have announced that action RPG Reynatis will be getting a western release in Fall 2024. The game will be coming to PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Reynatis takes place in Tokyo’s Shibuya district. Melding fantasy and the real world, the game’s setting has the citizens of Shibuya being afraid of magic, which leads to those that can actually use magic having to keep their abilities hidden from the public at large at the risk of being oppressed.
The game revolves around wizard Marin and MEA officer Sari, who works for an organisation that keeps wizards under control. The game will have players explore Shibuya while trying to keep their magic abilities hidden from the public. Much like any RPG, it will feature plenty of side quests to partake in, as well as shops where new equipment can be acquired.
Reynatis places an emphasis on its stylish action, featuring two distinct states that players can use—Liberated and Suppressed. While Liberated, players can go all out with their magical abilities while fighting enemies, while Suppressed state means that players can’t attack, instead being forced to avoid enemy attacks.
