While Grand Theft Auto 5 is still Take-Two Interactive’s golden goose, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to notch up impressive sales numbers. It’s sold more than 67 million units per the company’s Q2 fiscal year 2025 earnings report, up from over 65 million in the previous quarter.
The series has sold over 92 million units worldwide. Interestingly, Take-Two didn’t provide any sales numbers for the re-release of Red Dead Redemption, which arrived last year for PS4 and Nintendo Switch before recently coming to PC (and still failing to justify its $50 price tag).
There’s also Red Dead Online, which doesn’t warrant much discussion after Rockstar ceased major content updates in 2022. With Rockstar Games focused onGrand Theft Auto 6, out in Fall 2025 for Xbox Series X/S and PS5, a follow-up to Red Dead Redemption 2 will be a ways off. An upgrade for current-gen consoles also looks unlikely according to rumors, but it’s still worth playing – check out our review.
