Apple TV+ has announced the release date for the upcoming conspiracy thriller drama starring One Day breakout Leo Woodall. In addition, the streamer has also shared new photos from the series featuring Woodall and co-star Quintessa Swindell.
“The series follows a brilliant young math post-graduate, Edward Brooks, who is on the verge of a major breakthrough,” reads the synopsis. “If he succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world. Soon he begins to realize an unseen enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, a female NSA agent, played by Swindell, who’s been tasked with watching and reporting on mathematicians’ behavior. Together they start to piece together the troubling conspiracy Edward is at the heart of.”
Prime Target will be available for streaming starting on January 22, 2025, on Apple TV+. The cast also includes Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), David Morrissey (The Walking Dead), Martha Plimpton (The Regime), Sidse Babbett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Fra Fee (Rebel Moon) and Joseph Mydell (The Eternal Daughter).
The 8-episode series is created by Sherlock’s Steve Thompson, who is executive producing alongside director Brady Hood. Executive producers are Ed Rubin, Beth Pattinson, Emma Broughton, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan, Michael Schaefer, Marina Brackenbury, David W. Zucker, Ridley Scott, and Laura Hastings-Smith. It is a production by New Regency and Scott Free.
