After announcing the 4K date and even releasing a special VHS edition, the Hulu streaming release date has officially been set for the hit horror entry in the iconic franchise.
The Alien: Romulus release date is November 21, 2024, when the film will also be available to stream via Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers.
“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe,” the synopsis for the movie reads.

The film was directed and executive produced by Fede Álvarez from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rodo Sayagues. The film stars Isabela Merced (Sicario: Day of the Soldado), David Jonsson (Industry, Rye Lane), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Spike Fearn (Tell Me Everything), and Aileen Wu. Franchise creator Ridley Scott also served as a producer along with Michael Pruss and Walter Hill.
Alien: Romulus was the seventh official entry in the Alien franchise (or the ninth including the crossover movies with the Predator franchise) following 1979’s Alien, 1986’s Aliens, 1992’s Alien 3, 1997’s Alien Resurrection, 2004’s Alien vs. Predator, 2007’s Aliens vs Predator: Requiem, 2012’s Prometheus, and 2017’s Alien: Covenant. The new film is set between the events of Alien and Aliens.
