Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's recently released Indigo Disk DLC is packed with secret areas, unique dialogue, and hidden references for trainers to sniff out. For example, if you send out Ogerpon against Kieran in your opening battle with the now seething rival, he cannot believe your cruelty and shouts at you for doing so. That's not the end to the unique dialogue though, as Indigo Disk has finally made use of that strange test you're made to take during your time facing the Pokemon League.

Unlike previous games, the Pokemon League in Scarlet & Violet challenges your memory as well as your battle prowess. Before you even throw out a Pokemon, Elite Four member Rika gives you a test to see how much you've been paying attention throughout the game, asking you to name which Gym and Gym Leader gave you the most trouble, and what type of Pokemon they used.

It was a rather simple test that played very little part in the game despite its presence, but it now seems as though Game Freak has finally found a use for your answers. Shared by Reddit user Thadzdingo on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet subreddit, the Gym Leader that you chose in the League test will comment on how they're your favorite Gym Leader and either thank or make fun of you for your choice.

For example, Thadzingo shares screenshots of what Grusha says when you choose him as your toughest opponent, calling you "uncool" and that he doesn't understand how you've come to that conclusion. Similarly, Larry has absolutely no idea why you'd choose him, though he is slightly concerned as to why you'd pick him because he's so unremarkable. Classic Larry.
