In celebration of Pokemon Day and the Pokemon franchise, The Pokemon Company has officially announced that the next Pokemon Presents event will take place on Monday, February 27 at 6:00am PT. Pokemon Presents events are basically the Pokemon-specific equivalents of Nintendo Direct presentations, so fans should be able to expect a number of announcements tied to the monster catching franchise come next Tuesday.
Last year's Pokemon Presents event was especially exciting. Despite being only about a month out from the launch of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Game Freak and The Pokemon Company shocked the world with the announcement for the Generation 9 games Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It's unlikely that this year's Pokemon Presents event will feature an announcement quite at that level, but Pokemon Scarlet and Violet should still have a major presence at the show.
Pokemon Fans Are Debating Which Starter From the Franchise Is the Cutest
Rumors have persisted that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC is in the works, potentially adding paradox legendaries like alternate forms for Suicune and Virizion to the mix. Reputable leakers that leaked a lot of accurate information about the base Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games were behind the DLC leaks as well, so chances are good that the leaks are legitimate. The 20-minute Pokemon Presents event on February 27 would mark the perfect opportunity to reveal Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC to the world, though it's always possible that the event will come and go with no mention of Scarlet and Violet DLC.
