These PlayStation Plus announcements came about as part of the latest PlayStation State of Play event, where Sony highlighted a variety of new games in development for PS4, PS5, and PlayStation VR2.
Sony's State of Play events are best known for their new game announcements, but they have also played host to surprise PS Plus reveals in the past. As some fans will recall, it was a State of Play event where Sony confirmed Stray as a day one PS Plus release.
PS Plus Premium Update Adds Classic PS1 RPG and 16 Other Games
The latest State of Play event had its own share of PS Plus reveals, confirming what Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers fans can look forward to next month.
The free PS Plus games for March 2023 are Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein, all three of which will be available to PS Plus subscribers on March 7. Battlefield 2042 will have both the PS5 and PS4 versions available to play, though there are no native PS5 versions of Minecraft Dungeons and Code Vein in the free PS Plus games for March 2023 lineup. However, all three games are playable on PS5 thanks to the console's backward compatibility.
Sony didn't stop at revealing the free PS Plus games for March 2023. It also confirmed that highly-anticipated new indie game Tchia will be a day one game for those who are signed up for the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers.
