The first PlayStation Portal unboxing video has surfaced online, showing the size of Sony's new handheld and comparing it to Valve's Steam Deck.
Sony's PlayStation Portal won't be out before next week, but Spanish YouTube channel Hobby Consolas has already put up an unboxing video of the handheld. Due to an embargo, the device isn't turned on, but you'll get a glimpse of the handheld ahead of reviews and the global launch of the handheld. "the embargo prevents us from showing it in operation, but we can show you an unboxing of the final unit so you can see what it looks like and compare it with a Steam Deck, for example", the creator of the video writes on YouTube (translated).
Comparing the dimensions of the PlayStation Portal and Steam Deck, we can see roughly the same dimensions although the PlayStation Portal benefits from an 8-inch display, whereas the Steam Deck offers a 7-inch screen. Also, Sony's handheld is somewhat lighter compared to Valve's handheld.
