Genshin Impact’s next playable character, Navia, summons a freaking cannon in new leaks

It’s our time, Geo mains. After nearly two years, we’re finally getting a new Geo character in Genshin Impact in Navia – and her animations look stunning. Navia uses a medley of guns and cannons in battle, as demonstrated by some new leaks that show us what we can expect.

In these new leaks, Navia is shown using the full brunt of her abilities. Her Normal Attacks take advantage of her parasol, upholding a new trend in Genshin Impact where characters have more personality in their basic kit. Her Elemental Skill is just as unique, as Navia’s parasol transforms into a gun that fires a powerful projectile at enemies. But most important is her Elemental Burst. Navia literally fires off massive cannonballs into the sky, which rain down on enemies dealing massive damage.

Navia’s leaked kit revolves around the Crystallize reaction, an elemental reaction between the Geo element and the Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, and Electro elements. Normally, the Crystallize reaction creates elemental shields based on which element Geo reacted with. (For instance, Geo + Hydro creates a small Hydro shield.) However, Navia will use these Crystallize shards to empower her own personal damage. This finally allows players to use this reaction offensively, as Crytallize is generally a weaker and underutilized reaction.

Navia is the next Geo character in Genshin Impact, finally giving Geo mains a new character to try out. The last Geo character added to the game was nearly two years ago, with Arataki Itto’s release in 2021. I’m hoping Navia will be the first of many new Geo characters to come, as Geo is one of my favorite elements in the game. But if not, I’ll be happy just raining down
