Pikmin fans were starved for a long time, but it seems Nintendo is finally rewarding your patience. Pikmin 4 is, of course, launching next month, and Nintendo showcased another new gameplay trailer for it at its recent Direct presentation- though that’s not the only thing that was announced. Those looking to go back to the original Pikmin titles will also be able to do so.
As rumoured, Nintendo has announced Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 ports for the Switch. In fact, much like it did with Metroid Prime Remastered earlier this year, Nintendo has not just announced the Pikmin titles, but shadow dropped them. Both games are available digitally via the Nintendo Switch eShop starting today itself.
Of course, Pikmin 3 Deluxe launched for the Nintendo Switch back in 2020, which means that all mainline Pikmin games are now officially available on the platform. As unlikely as it may have seemed at one point, it’s finally a good time to be a Pikmin fan again.
