The Xbox version of Palworld keeps crashing for many players, significantly hindering their enjoyment of the game. This widely reported instability adds to the list of disadvantages that the Xbox port of Palworld exhibits in comparison to the PC version.
PocketPair's newest title has already turned out to be a huge hit, with the Japanese developer revealing that Palworld surpassed 7 million sales within five days of release. But having such a gigantic player base does come with some disadvantages, especially when it comes to early access indie titles. For example, the sheer volume of player traffic managed to break Palworld's multiplayer functionality during the game's launch weekend.
And while that particular problem has already been somewhat alleviated, one issue that remains concerns the game's stability on Microsoft's consoles, or lack thereof. According to numerous player reports, both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game keep crashing across a wide variety of scenarios, sometimes as often as every 20 minutes. Those claims are consistent with Game Rant's own Palworld testing sessions, which yielded approximately two crashes per hour on average.
Several players have reported that increasing the Gatherable Items Respawn Interval and reducing the Pal Appearance Rate in the game's settings minimizes or even outright eliminates the crashes. However, it would appear that neither method has a 100% success rate. These stability issues have been present in the Xbox version of the game since day one. And while the latest Palworld update does introduce some Xbox-specific fixes, it would appear that the patch does not address the crashes themselves.
Many affected players have found this state of affairs to be rather detrimental to the overall experience, not least because some have shared that they cannot even get through a dungeon without having Palworld crash to the home screen.
