The Nintendo Switch 2 is not going to feature an OLED screen, but it will still come with something that will set it apart from the original model of its predecessor, according to rumors circulating online.
As spotted on the Gaming Leaks subreddit, SoldierDelta provided an update on the next Nintendo console after sharing its tentative release date, saying that the console will have some AR features that are likely related to the rumored new camera function. Sadly, the console will not feature an OLED screen, which feels like a step back, considering how beautiful games look on the OLED model of the current Switch.
SoldierDelta also provided some more information on the Nintendo Switch 2's pricing and release date. While their source reiterated how the console will launch with two different models, the pricing for both of them has yet to be set in stone, so it could be changed from the $400, $449 figure that was provided last week. Additionally, while the console is set to release on September 24th, Nintendo is considering November 3rd as a fallback release date in case something happens.
While SoldierDelta proved they have access to insider information, we have to take everything they have revealed regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 with a grain of salt. If the console is indeed releasing in late 2024, it will be a few more months before we finally learn more about the system.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has yet to be revealed. We will keep you updated on the system as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
