The next instalment in D3Publisher's long-running Earth Defense Force series has been available in Japan for well over a year, but Western fans of the bug-blasting shooter can finally look forward to checking it out too. The company has at last revealed when we can expect it to head our way — Earth Defense Force 6 is launching on PS5 and PS4 in the west in Spring 2024.

EDF6 features a new storyline, the return of old classes including Ranger, Air Raider, Wing Diver, and Fencer, and new missions and weapons. While the joy of the series is found in co-op, you can also play it solo, if you want.
