Instead, the latest update on the series was about a new surprise cast member. Netflix confirmed on March 1, 2022 that Walton had been cast in The Umbrella Academy season 3. Walton is an American actor and boxer, best known for portraying Ashtray on HBO's Euphoria. Now that it has been officially confirmed, Walton is dropping a few more details about his role.

In an interview with EW, Walton opened up about his mystery Umbrella Academy role. Walton reiterated that things are still very private right now, but he could confirm that he is not part of the Sparrow Academy.
