Warning: Spoilers for Justice League #73!
As the latest story of DC Comics’ Justice Leaguecomes to an end, its new era has left a promise unfulfilled for fans of these iconic characters. And with the original members of the League about to bite the big one in an upcoming issue of the series, those same fans may never get the chance to see the pledge of a radically new and unique team fully play out.

But as with all things, the removal of the old paves the way for the arrival of the new, and even if the current team won’t be able to make good on Bendis’ original promise, this next team very well might.

Some dissent,” Green Arrow makes promises to fans that end up never being realized — at least when it comes to the team roster seen throughout Bendis’ run.
