Jared Leto reflects on his Zack Snyder's Justice League Joker scene and his memorable encounter with Ben Affleck's Batman. After the poorly received Justice League theatrical cut released in 2017 after being reworked by director Joss Whedon, fans campaigned for Snyder, the original director, to be allowed to return and finish his version of the film. Warner Bros. ultimately caved to the demands and Snyder was given a hefty sum of money to finish what would eventually become Zack Snyder's Justice League. The film, which was released last spring on HBO Max, still proved somewhat divisive with critics, but was a big hit with audiences.
Zack Snyder's Justice League includes a host of new scenes, one of the most memorable being a moment towards the end between Batman and the Joker. After first being introduced in the critically panned Suicide Squad in 2016, Leto's Joker returns in one of Batman's nightmare sequences, with the two finally coming face-to-face and having a discussion in an apocalyptic wasteland. While the scene would mark the last time Leto appeared as the Joker, the actor isn't done with superhero fare just yet, starring in the new Sony movie, Morbius.
