New Limited-Time Switch Controllers Releasing March 22
A limited edition Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller set will be released this March to coincide with the launch of Princess Peach: Showtime. The announcement of the special bundle was met with generally positive reactions, but there were still aspects of the upcoming release that were criticized by people on the internet.
A variety of Joy-Cons have been released ever since the Switch was first put on the market in 2017. Gamers can now pick up the controller in a wide variety of colors and styles, from plain white, to something more elaborate like the special models that were released alongside The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Edition. Nintendo will be dropping a unique Joy-Con bundle again in March to mark another game launch.
In a recent Twitter post, Nintendo revealed that a set of pastel pink Switch Joy-Con controllers will be released on March 22 to coincide with the launch of the adventure game Princess Peach: Showtime. This will only be available for a limited time at select retailers and the My Nintendo Store, according to the company. There is already a pastel pink Joy-Con that was released in 2023, but it only comes in a bundle with a pastel yellow controller. Nintendo did not mention the price of the upcoming pastel pink bundle, but it will probably be $80 like the other colored Joy-Con sets.
The reaction to Nintendo's announcement regarding the new Switch Joy-Con bundle was mostly positive, with several Twitter users commenting on the post that they wanted the set. Others, however, criticized Nintendo's decision to make the bundle a limited run item. As more than 130 million Switch units have been sold since the console's launch, there could be strong demand for any special Joy-Con release like the pastel pink bundle.
