New Legendary Coming in Patch 10.2 Guardians of the Dream
Blizzard has teased that a new Legendary is coming in Patch 10.2, Guardians of the Dream! Who could it be for?
A new Legendary is coming in Patch 10.2!
Speculation
We don't know any details about how it will be obtained but who it will be for but we can speculate.
Assuming it is a weapon, we can look back at previous Legendary Weapons:
- Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker — 1H Melee Sword
- Warglaive of Azzinoth — 1H Melee Sword
- Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury — 2H Agi Bow
- Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings — 1H Int (Healer) Weapon
- Shadowmourne — 2H Strength
- Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest — 2H Int Weapon
- Golad, Twilight of Aspects/Tiriosh, Nightmare of Ages — 1H Agi (Rogue) Daggers
- Rae'shalare, Death's Whisper — 2H Agi Bow
- Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy — 1H Int (Evoker) Weapon
By this. there are a couple types of weapons that haven't been hit in a long time or ever:
- 2H Strength (since Wrath of the Lich King)
- 2H Agi Melee (never)
If this Legendary is a weapon, I'd likely expect it to fall into one of these two categories. 2H Strength is likely way more popular than 2H Agi Melee and it's been a while since Shadowmourne, but 2H Agi Melee never having a Legendary definitely feels bad as well. 2H Int was last hit in Cataclysm, but Int got hit a little by the Evoker 1H weapon and there has only been 1 Strength Legendary ever.
Guardians of the Dream
Patch 10.2 is named Guardians of the Dream and it seems to confirm what everyone was thinking: The theme will be about the Emerald Dream and Druids. Therefore, in a patch that is clearly all about protecting Emerald Dream, of course, it makes sense that the answer may be a Druid-specific Legendary!
We'll have to see tomorrow what kind of legendary it is!
