Changes to Nightmare Dungeon Layouts in Diablo 4 Season 2
Nightmare Dungeons are getting a whole host of new and exciting updates and upgrades when Season 2 goes live on October 17th, and that also includes changes to Nightmare Dungeon layouts! Most importantly, pathing to important objectives and layouting in general has been vastly improved.
According to Blizzard, some dungeons will also have their objectives removed, with only the boss being present at the end of the dungeon.

Nightmare Dungeon Layout changes
- Completely removed objectives from a handful of dungeons, just find the boss.
- Placed objectives on the critical path through the dungeon.
- We redesigned many dungeon layouts.
- Additional changes were made to dungeon layouts to limit backtracking while preventing the dungeons from feeling too linear.
These changes come after continuous community feedback regarding dungeon objectives and layouts. It remains to be seen if these changes introduced in Season 2 will solve the issues of countless dungeons being the far worse option to run compared to «S tier» dungeons like Domhainne Tunnels or Sarat's Lair.
