Now that Mirage is actually out, Assassin's Creed fans have seemingly changed their mind about Basim's infamous teleportation ability, which was originally deemed too much of a "cheese".
With its promises to return to the old format and do away with most of the RPG mechanics found in Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, it's fair to say that Assassin's Creed Mirage has been one of the most anticipated games in the series for quite some time, and seemed to win fans over pretty much from the word go. That is, except for one controversial mechanic that has split fans - Basim's teleportation ability.

As first revealed in Mirage's Ubisoft Forward gameplay debut, Basim has the unique ability to tag multiple enemies at once and then teleport to them for an insta-kill. When this move was first showcased, a lot of fans seemed unhappy with it, calling out for being too easy to "cheese", getting rid of the need for parkour since Basim can just appear wherever he wants, and for being too unrealistic.
Although many Assassin's Creed fans swore off the ability long before Mirage even launched, it seems like a lot of them have changed their minds about it and are now welcoming it with open arms, at least judging by the number of posts showing off stylish kills with it on the Assassin's Creed subreddit.
One such post comes from Redditor leslouie, who said, "I hated it when I first saw it... but now I love the teleport". Alongside their post, they shared a clip of them using the teleport to kill an enemy right after chucking a throwing knife at another guard, resulting in them both stylishly being killed at the same time while Basim walks away undetected.
