The new COD Warzone map, Urzikstan, has been revealed
Activision and Raven Software have revealed the next map for Call of Duty: Warzone.
The new area is called Urzikstan, and is described as “a brand-new big map where the Middle East meets Eastern Europe, designed with 11 memorable main points of interest alongside many other smaller areas”.
The map borders the Republic of Adal, the location of Warzone’s Al Mazrah map, and consists of 11 major points of interest, which are described in detail on the official Call of Duty blog.
Activision also detailed some of the changes to movement and combat mechanics coming to the new interation of Warzone.
Players will be able to cancel a slide by jumping or crouching again. Operators will start their slide faster, can slide farther and can shoot in Tac-Stance while doing so.
Jumping has been made faster and higher, and there’s a reduced slowdown when landing from a jump, as well as a reduce sprint-out delay after jumping.
Players can turn on Tac-Stance for “a hybrid of hip-firing and aiming down sights”, which gives faster strafe and movement speed (though accuracy suffers).
They can also use the ‘Stim’ tactical item to get a short movement speed increase to get out of tricky situations.

Other new quality of life upgrades to Warzone will include a dedicated pistol sidearm for swimming and climbing, easier-to-find Contracts and automatic wearing of the Gas Mask when it’s equipped into the Loadout.
