Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani responds to the fan backlash regarding the change to the character's powers in the MCU. Set to join the ever-growing roster of MCU Disney+ shows, Ms. Marvel follows Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani-American Captain Marvel superfan, who struggles to fit in at school until she gains powers of her own. One scene in the trailer does confirm that at least one aspect of the character's powers will remain somewhat true to the source material, with Kamala sporting an enlarged purple fist during a fight scene.
