Ms. Marvel follows the story of Kamala Khan, a teenager living in New Jersey who is obsessed with superheroes and prone to getting completely lost in daydreams. When an old bangle bracelet awakens Kamala's powers as Ms. Marvel, it's her chance to become a superhero. Soon, she's learning to control her strange new powers and is caught up in a world she's not quite ready for.
The Ms. Marvel series is based on the comics and characters created by Sana Amanat, G. Willow Wilson, and Adrian Alphona. As a comic book character, Kamala Khan hasn't been around that long, only first appearing in 2013. But her impact on pop culture and Marvel comics has been enormous, with her quickly developing a loyal following. Part of that was due to Kamala Khan being the first Pakistani-American, Muslim superhero to headline her own comic book series.
