IGN spoke to producers Mariko Sato and Yoshinori Kitase about Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. The interview touches on various aspects of the upcoming remaster. Additionally, it goes into how the remaster will improve on the original game. With that said, there are going to be fewer changes than some fans may expect. In fact, when it comes to the plot, Kitase says it won’t “stray too far” from the original story. Sato doubles down on this and reiterates that there won’t be any new elements.

This is undoubtedly good news for fans of the original title, but players of Final Fantasy VII Remake may be a bit confused by this.
