Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 Cast Adds Anora Star Mark Eydelshteyn, Character Revealed

Inspired by the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie-starring 2005 movie of the same name, Mr. & Mrs. Smith premiered on Amazon Prime Video in February 2024. The first season starred Donald Glover and Maya Erskine as a married couple of competing spies who operate under the aliases John and Jane Smith.
The series was renewed for a second season in May 2024. There have been conflicting reports about whether or not Glover and Erskine will return for the show’s sophomore outing.
Now, however, we have one confirmed cast member who will be appearing in Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2.
Per Variety, Eydelshteyn has been tapped to play Mr. Smith in the series. This likely means that there will be a new Mrs. Smith cast in the near future, too; however, given that these names are once again aliases, the door still remains open for Glover and Erskine to potentially return.
Eydelshteyn played Ivan ‘Vanya’ Zakharov alongside Mikey Madison in Sean Baker’s Anora, which was released in United States theaters earlier this year. He’s also starred in a handful of Russian movies such as 2022’s The Land of Sasha, 2023’s Pravednik, and 2024’s One Hundred Years Ahead.
The synopsis for Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 1 reads, “In the first season of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, two lonely strangers land jobs working for a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life of espionage, wealth, world travels, and a dream brownstone in Manhattan. The catch? New identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith. Now hitched, John and Jane navigate a high-risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier: espionage or marriage?”
Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 does not yet have a premiere date.
