NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 1 is just a few weeks away, and players are slowly learning about what’s in store. GamesHub’s Edmond Tran recently revealed an interesting detail that suggests the upcoming game may feature some nifty accessibility options. After losing in the Mortal Kombat 1 beta, he did a little sleuthing and discovered that he was playing what he believes to be a blind gamer. This led to him learning that the fighting game features a descriptive audio option for Fatalities.
Also HOLY SHIT #MortalKombat1 has a descriptive audio option for Fatalities and it is
ABSOLUTELY
INCREDIBLE pic.twitter.com/JEk2DMuOPW

The example Tran posts has a narrator describing how Li Mei yanks out her victim’s guts and decapitates them with a kick. The gruesome descriptions should serve as a great aid for visually impaired gamers hoping to immerse themselves in Mortal Kombat’s gory world. That said, they’re nauseatingly vivid enough to use for the awesome factor alone.
The closed beta test ran from August 18 until August 21, and several players have been showing off the upcoming game’s slick visuals and bloody Fatalities. Johnny Cage has received quite a bit of attention, with many players enjoying his moves.

Fatalities are a key focus of Mortal Kombat 1. These are of course joined by Quitalities, which will make a return. This finishing move will activate when the loser of a match quits before the end of the round, causing their character to suffer a spectacularly violent death. The game will also introduce Kameo Fighters to provide you assistance during matches.
