Marvel's Moon Knight is well-known as a violent vigilante with various mental health issues — but as a character who's issues aren't nearly as well-defined as others (such as Iron Man), the franchise is home to plenty of fan theories surrounding the nature of Marc Spector's disabilities. Moon Knight is considerably more violent than his fellow Marvel heroes, often drawing comparisons to Batman. But in Moon Knight #7, Marc reveals he's quite different from the Caped Crusader in one important distinction.
The latest Moon Knight run, having began in 2021, explores Marc Spector's character unlike any Moon Knight book that has come before. The series is more introspective than others, especially diving into Marc's identity as a Jew and how he sees both his Jewish identity and his others (Marc has Dissociative Identity Disorder, and his body plays host to five separate personalities). Now on the hunt for his enemy Zodiac, Moon Knight hunts down and eventually comes up against his best possible source for more information regarding his charge: the villain Manslaughter.

After threatening to sadistically torture 8-Ball (a curious foe with an 8-ball for a head), Moon Knight gets all the information he needs regarding Manslaughter and begins his attack. Marsdale insists during the fight that Moon Knight can't possibly win, as Manslaughter can't feel any pain. «You don't feel pain?» replies Moon Knight as he kicks Marsdale in the face. «You're missing out.»
