Oscar Isaac is set to star in Marvel Studios' Moon Knight TV series; here's everything we know about the upcoming show's release date and story details. Created by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, the titular superhero character has been part of the comics franchise since 1975, with his true identity being a man called Marc Spector. Moon Knight will be part of the MCU's Phase Four, which kicked off in 2021 with WandaVision.
In the comics, Marc Spector originally works for an elite faction of the U.S. Marines and later becomes a mercenary. After an Egyptian mission goes wrong, he's saved by the moon god Khonshu but must travel back to America as a human version of the being. Marc Spector eventually takes on various personas and manages to become extremely wealthy through business investments. In Chicago, he's known as the socialite Steven Grant and later acquires superpowers due to the changing phases of the moon. Because of Moon Knight's shifting personalities, it's not always clear what's going on in his head, or what actually happened in the past.
